The Box

In the kitchen, that is my first thought. Put the box in the kitchen. It seems to be an area where there is the highest traffic flow. I will put the complaint box in the kitchen. There seems to be a need for it as I cannot seem to address everyone's complaints the moment they are brought to my attention.

Now, truth be told, I do not know that I will take the time to sit and go through these complaints one by one. However, I will not tell the family members this. It seems writing is like therapy. Just writing them down will relieve them of the burden of carrying these complaints around with them.

Often I have found that putting my thoughts to paper, good or bad, lightens the load I am carrying. Writing is definitely therapy for the soul. A bound journal, a pretty box with loose papers, tucked away for your eyes only. Putting your innermost thoughts on paper is a soothing act. While recording them, you are given the chance to mull them over once again, and possibly gain new perspective.
So, truly, my family and I both stand to gain from the box. Each member will have the opportunity to record their thoughts on paper. It is my hope that they will discover the benefits of writing their thoughts down. And if even one of them discovers the joy of writing, my heart will sing!
